The iDesk Ambarella office chair boasts a generously proportioned seat that's perfect for just about any user with the exception of big and tall operators. The natural contours provide a secure feel and the padding is nothing short of impressive. The Ambarella seat is firm with just the right amount of give. We absolutely love the waterfall edge as it relieves knee pressure and makes for a smooth transition to the ground that ensures good blood flow when working.
Back Support:This best selling iDesk task chair from Cherryman comes standard with a breathable black mesh back. The mesh is a bit thicker than what you'll find on the average chair and provides a little less give which we really like. Most of today's mesh chairs feel a bit springy and they tend to give out. This isn't the case with the Ambarella. The thick mesh feels very durable and will likely last much longer. The chair back is also contoured at the lumbar area to provide lumbar support. While non adjustable, we still found it sufficient.
Ease of Use:The Ambarella chair is super easy to master. Most of today's professional grade tasking chairs are a bit complicated. That being said, the Ambarella minimizes the ergonomic learning curve. Underneath the chair seat you'll find a removable card that lists the chair features and how to use them properly. It's a really nice X factor attribute that will prevent the need to bust out the owner's manual each time you need a refresher on the adjustment levers and functions.
Controls:Ambarella chairs come standard with an advanced synchro tilt mechanism with 2" seat slider. The controls are easy to access and work smoothly. In our opinion, the side mounted tension knob is more effective than those located on the front of the chair as it's easier to twist. The back angle adjustment controls allow the Ambarella chair to be set in 4 fixed positions for posture friendly operating.
Arms:
You'll really enjoy the adjustment versatility of the arms on the Ambarella chair. They are width and height adjustable with swiveling arm caps. We did find that it's a bit difficult to lock in a setting with the arm caps but that's just nit picking to be honest. Overall, the arms make it easy to compute at correct and healthy angles.
Rating:
After a thorough review and sit test, we feel confident giving the Ambarella chair a 4 out of 5 star rating. It actually exceeded out expectation. Our main critiques are that the arm caps don't lock into place and that the lumbar area isn't fully adjustable. Overall, this is an awesome office chair that won't let you down. At just $247.80, it's also one of the best buys of 2017. The Ambarella's well rounded design is modern without being too over the top. We feel these best selling ergonomic task chairs are perfectly suited for home computing as well as everyday tasking in the office as they're super easy to use.
